We went away to attend an internship weekend to learn more about it. At one point we were in a small, dark conference room, the internship director prayed using the exact same words— “created to be and created to do”—that I had read at 4:30 a.m. in The Power of a Praying Wife a few weeks earlier. We then sat quietly to process and pray, as a song titled “Open Up” by Greg and Corinne Ferguson played in the background.

Because of her influence and wisdom, we followed through on her advice and the book is dedicated to her.
