In honor of National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), we’d like to welcome Nonfiction Book Coach Judy Cullins to the Bublish blog. She has some great tips for non-fiction writers, and has created a free audio series to show you how to finish a successful nonfiction book project in less time.
Take it away, Judy…
Thank you! Do you doubt you’ll actually finish your book? Does it feel like it might be the next century?
I can relate. Early on in my writing career, I actually stopped two of my books from being published–Joy Ride and Passion at Any Age. I was going through the traditional publishing process, and it was just taking too long. Over 12 months to publish! I vowed to shorten the process for my future books. I became a self publisher and, in 1985, a book coach. (I’m called “The Original Book Coach,” and continue to be #1 in Google with the keywords “book coaching.”)
Doubts about your ability to finish your book project can creep in while you’re writing, hindering your productivity and ability to finish. The good news is that today’s ideal audience wants fewer words and shorter chapters. Many will read your book on a smart phone or tablet. They want books designed especially for them–books that solve their particular challenges in fewer pages.
If your book is stalled, I have a system to help you finish it and find a fit with this new, mobile audience. Please take advantage of my three, free upcoming audio programs.
1. Power up Your Mindset to Finish Your Book. Wednesday, November 16 (11am PT). Your beliefs can help or hurt you. I’ll help you find the beliefs that will help you finish your book in the shortest time possible.
