“Eeee yah!” Xander gave out a Karate style yell as he launched himself feet first directly at the creature.
The slender creature must have sensed his intention and hopped to the side. Xander sailed harmlessly by him. The warning yell might have been a mistake Xander realized, a little too late.
“Xander!” Yzzie called out as he gathered himself and immediately dove again at the huge hairy alien.
This time it leapt high, while Xander shot harmlessly under its big feet.
Yzzie jumped in front of her cousin before he could mount another attack.
“Xander stop,” she told him, “it is okay.”
“You’re alright?” He asked, looking past her at the creatures suspiciously. “I thought you were… And then I saw these monsters… You were fighting… They were hurting you…”
“These monsters,” Yzzie began, and then corrected her wording. “I mean these people weren’t hurting me, it was a tickle fight.” The fur covered behemoths stepped up behind her and put their hands on her shoulders. “They’re my brother and sister.””
“Brother and sister? I don’t understand,” Xander responded, still lying on the ground.
“Their mother came to the crash site and saved my life.” She pulled the Sasquatches forward and put her arms around their waists.
“You were saved by a Sasquatch?” Xander couldn’t keep the amazement out of his voice.
