“What about the boyfriend?”
“He takes spring off and goes to school during the summer. His family races horses, so spring is their busy season.”
“Of course, horses. What else would you do in Kentucky?”
Rolling my eyes, I find the book I’d been searching for. “You make it sound so cliché. Where did you grow up?”
“Chicago. Good basketball country, I guess.” He picks up the same book as mine. “Looks like we have business management together.”
“I heard it’s a tough course.”
He leans over and whispers. “I can get us help through the athletic department.”
Heart racing from the proximity of his blue eyes, red full lips, and pale skin contrasting his dark hair, I force a smile. “Great, thanks. I guess I’ll see you tonight then.”
