You are right that there is need behind it, but the needs of others can be overwhelming and often take the forms of ogres and imps that terrify and torment. Do not afflict yourself with the sight but return home instead where it is safe!
Red Riding Hood paused, but remembered the kindness of her father’s heart and the gentle compassion of her mother’s hand. She grasped the handle of the door and pulled it open. Shadows seemed to spill out of the closet and stretch across the floor. Shadows of ogres and imps and monsters Red Riding Hood had never imagined. But there were no ogres, imps, or other monsters. Only poor, sick Grandmother who was so weak that she could hardly move.
