Author Biography

Tom and his wife Dorothy live in Clarksboro, New Jersey. Tom is a retired systems engineer, a magician, a teacher and an ex-deacon in the Catholic Church. As a deacon in the Catholic Church, Tom’s ability to simplify material carried over to scripture and religious education. Now, Tom has turned his attention to writing and through his storytelling, he connects with his readers who, amidst their chaos and pain, their unpleasant and unexpected experiences, their loneliness and grieving, they can find glimmers of hope, faith, love and peace.

Ultimate Awareness

What is the single most important skill people need? Most people would not chose awareness, yet it is more important than any other skill a person can have. Awareness is an exploration of life itself. Without it we are lost to the world. There are few things we can control in life, awareness is one of those things we can control and it can help us to have better control over our hectic lives. Perhaps in heaven we may finally obtain ultimate awareness and with it, ultimate truth and beauty.

Am I actually asking my niece if she’s discovered the ultimate awareness?

Her eyes light up, “Oh yes, Uncle Lou, and you will too. When you do, you will see truth and beauty in everything. And, above all, you will be aware of the presence of God. You’ve had glimpses of such an awareness in the earthly realm, but here, it will become a constant awareness. It’s the difference between dipping your toes into water and immersing yourself fully in it.”
