I remember being a young man. A little arrogant, maybe. It was eons ago, and I barely recognize the memory of my own face now.
I do recall, however, that tart, addictive taste of pure ambition. Oh, how it coursed through my veins when I was flesh and blood! Once it became clear that I would be the savior of humanity, I glowed like a god on my pedestal built by science and looked down upon that helpless flock in pity. Humanity had brought decisive doom upon itself, and I had developed a solution—but we were running out of time...
