Making the decision to “live no matter what” requires faith and willingness. I have faith that whatever uncomfortable feelings I am experiencing now will pass, even when there is nothing shiny in my future. I demonstrate my faith by becoming willing to make and keep daily self-loving contracts physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. The tone of each day is contingent upon my faith and willingness.

More Dammit ... It IS Menopause!
I’ve mentioned that some mornings I wake up with the radio station in my head tuned to KF***. I don’t want to go to work, and I don’t want to face the day. That’s the time when I call my friend Cordelia. I will go on and on about how there’s nothing to look forward to. We call it “nothing shiny in my future.” I’ll move on to talk about how I’m sure I don’t know enough to do my job adequately and how today is the day that my imposter status will be uncovered and ridiculed. I will be fired and have no job and soon be living on the streets. It gets to the point where we are laughing. Invariably, she will say, “Do you wanna live anyway, no matter what?” To which I reply, “Yeah, I guess so.”
