Just as Kain thought it safe to sit down with his sandwich another voice interrupted him, this one was male and wore the uniform of an Ancient Roman Commander. All Kain could do was roll his eyes and ask, “Who might you be?”
With a light tone the male spirit introduced himself, “Marcus Antonius at your service.”
With a sight Kain said, “Here we go again.”
Marcus a shake of his head and a smile on his face he looked Kain over until he said, “No young man. I am not here to bid to do another’s bidding or to ask you to support the Great Gods of Egypt. I am simply here to watch as you deal with plans that have already been put into motion. Because you are the one thing that no one else is,” he finished.
With a raised eyebrow Kain asked, “And what would that be?”
“You are the only person that I know of that can deny Cleopatra. For in my own time I could deny her nothing she asked for. Cleopatra was beautiful to me, she was also witty, educated, wealthy, charming and everything a man could wish for,” Marcus reminisced of his love.
“You truly loved her,” Kain stated.
“I did and still do. I will be honest with you Kain Drusus, the Egyptian Gods asked me to speak to you so that you would at least consider donning the title of pharaoh when the time comes,” Marcus finished
“What do you get out of it,” Kain asked condescendingly.
