I’m processing my thoughts. Clem’s wife and son are lying dead in the dining room. He has no idea of what has happened and is not responding to cyber calls and texts. Who do I contact since the security building has been vaporized? Should I go to the neighbor’s house and tell them what happened? Are the neighbors even alive?
Clem is missing. I must find him. He is more than my titleholder; he is my friend and mentor. Clem is a good man and should not be harmed or suffer. Without him, I have no human benefactor or employer. According to the laws governing robots, without an employer, I can be reassigned or―more likely―returned to the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory for disassembly
