There were all types of beautiful careers inside my wandering mind. Never lacking self-confidence, I knew my dreams were possible. Despite my naïveté and vulnerability, I’ve always been a dreamer about one thing or another.
The time I thought about becoming a preacher, I told my folks, “When I become an adult, I’m gonna be a preacher and make all the money. I’m going to talk the talk so I can walk the walk.”
In his deep voice, Dad responded, “I can see that. You always have a good sermon to tell us at the dinner table. So how about I start calling you Preacher?
