Alert ... Hunger!
If you run all day on empty, and then gorge at night... you may not be familiar with the feeling of a real, legitimate hunger pang. You are keeping your body in shut down by only eating late in the day.
It is imperative to eat something when you feel actual hunger. If you don’t eat when you feel a real hunger pang, your body will go into shut down mode and start stockpiling. You want to avoid this at all cost!
As nauseating as it may be at first, be sure to eat your breakfast as early in the morning as possible. Breakfast starts your engine running and you will burn calories all day.
If you find that you usually have breakfast later, put a small healthy treat by your bed to eat upon waking. This will start your engine burning calories. Even a quarter of a Nutrigrain® bar can power your system up.
A green smoothie is a great way to power up, it does take more prep. You can make it the night before and leave it in the refrigerator for the morning. I suggest not mixing it till the morning so it tastes fresh.
A good plan is to help your car burn evenly all day with many small snacks. Keep track of your numbers so you don’t eat more calories than you plan. At the least, be sure to have three good meals a day. Biggest in the morning, medium size at lunch, smallest at dinner time.
Breakfast like a king, a lite lunch, dinner like a pauper.
