Here is a list of problems associated with not eating enough food.
#1: Stomach digestion is slowed. Digestion can become so slow a person may become constipated. Some are having so many problems with constipation they are heading to the emergency room for extreme abdominal pains. Bowel obstruction is a serious complication needing surgery.
#2: Lack of nutrients leads to bone loss, osteoporosis, and broken bones. Hair becomes thinner over time, and you can start to lose it. Eating less food may not provide the body with the building blocks for a healthy body.
#3: Hormones can change when the body does not have enough food. Moods, insulin, cortisol, and sleep can be affected when food is limited.
#4: Reduces the immune system due to a lack of vital nutrients. You may get sick more easily and have less energy from a lack of vitamins the body needs daily. Taking a multivitamin may not provide the body with enough nutrients when certain foods are not eaten. The multivitamin pill also has products just to be a pill that may not be beneficial to the body.
#5: The skin may become thin and have less ability to fight infections and diseases. You may also bruise more easily when blood vessels are not as strong from a lack of nutrients. Lack of nutrients can cause a lack of healthy glowing skin. Skin can become more fragile and your look can become “older looking,” losing your youthful look.
