Life Gets in the Way
Too Tired and Not Motivated
How much time passed today before you got up from your seat? Did you pass the time the way you planned to? Or did you get distracted with something else?
Most of the time we are not sitting idle. We may be watching TV, watching cars go by, or playing on our phone. We are usually doing something with our mind. We are not just sitting or lying down doing nothing with nothing on our mind.
Time moves on. Did an hour go by before you realized? Maybe the entire day got away from you. Did you have goals you had wished to do?
How long have you wanted to lose weight? Are you just too tired to work on it? Did your actions today have a weight loss benefit? Do you have too many distractions like health, family, or time?
Being too tired to do anything can have different causes. Are you in need of more sleep at night? This is a basic need many have from a lack of good sleep. It is recommended to get 7 hours of sleep every night. Are you staying up too late at night, then getting up to work the next day?
Long term lack of sleep increases your risk of being overweight, increases depression, and cardiovascular diseases. Some people are only getting only 5 or 6 hours of sleep for most nights of the week. Are you one of these?
Kate liked to stay up till 1am or 2am watching TV at night. She had to be at work at 9 am every day. She was only getting 6 hours of sleep most nights. She felt tired and had no energy during her day. When she started going to bed at 11am every night, she felt rested and had more energy during her day.
