What kind of leader are you? Are you someone who shows up in times of wins, both large and small? Someone who shows up in times of failure or mistakes? Someone who shows up when people disagree with your perspective? Do you inspire people with possibility or bog them down with endless tasks?
Since cultural transformation always starts with an organization’s top leadership, these are some of the questions I ask senior leaders when we start working together. The most powerful vehicle for breakthrough performance is the people who run the company. In fact, organizational change isn’t possible without their commitment and leadership. We saw that happen in the opening story about C-Corp. If your company is struggling or having trouble breaking through to the next level, it’s time to take a hard look in the mirror.
