“He has a right to his opinion, Anna.”
“But it was so rude. And I had no idea they felt that way...”
“Then it doesn’t matter.”
“It does matter. How can I hang out with them now? Knowing what they think?”
“Forget it. Go have fun with your girlfriends and don’t talk politics.”
“I can’t do that.” She lowered onto the big chair. “Even if I don’t talk about it, I’ll think about it.”
“Which is why I didn’t say anything. Let it go. It doesn’t matter to me in the slightest, as long as they don’t harass you.”
“It matters to me. He didn’t have any right...”
“Yes, he does. He does have the right to express his opinion. That’s one of the things we fight and train for every day, to protect our rights by making sure no one comes in take them away. This would be meaningless otherwise.”
