John 6:29
Jesus told them, "This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
Beloved: Shepherd, my mind is running out of control. Fear and anxiety rule me, and I know that is not from You. Deliver me, God, from this attack of the enemy. Deliver me from my fears and doubts. Give me faith and focus on what is true, right, honorable, lovely—all that is of You.
Lover: This is the cry I want to hear from you, asking Me for help. I’m present with you and I am a safe place for you to feel the loss of your home, your loneliness, your grief, your expected loss of someone dear to you. When these emotions pile up inside, anything extra just pushes your stress level over the top. It is okay to ‘feel’ these things with Me and to let Me hold you and comfort you, for I love you dearly, precious one.
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my Savior, 3my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, the strength of my salvation, my stronghold, my refuge, and my Savior who saved me from violence. 4 The LORD should be praised. I called on him, and I was saved from my enemies. 7 I called on the LORD in my distress. I called to my God for help. He heard my voice from his temple, and my cry for help reached his ears.
17 He reached down from high above and took hold of me. He pulled me out of the raging water.
(2 Samuel 22: 2b-4, 7, 17, God’s Word)
