Accepting the invitation
How many invitations have you missed? How many times have you failed to show up, even when you accepted the invitation? When it happened to me, I was embarrassed, and apologized profusely. But when I don't show up to meet with God each day, I find myself offering excuses. "I was really busy." "I was too tired to get up in time, and now have to rush off to meet someone else." Sound familiar? God has so much to give us, if only we have time to receive it.

When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them—fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread.
Beloved: Shepherd, how often do You prepare and then wait for me to show up, and I never come or come in such a rush that I don’t even notice what You have prepared for me? Forgive me and help me to break away from the life that seems so real but isn’t the true reality You offer.
Lover: Come, My child, come and sit with Me awhile and enjoy the richness of all I have to offer you. Invite Me into your life and see how everything changes.
8Examine and see how good the LORD is. Happy is the person who trusts him. 9You who belong to the LORD, fear him! Those who fear him will have everything they need. 10Even lions may get weak and hungry, but those who look to the LORD will have every good thing. 11Children, come and listen to me.
