I have heard various explanations about why this process works and they all depend on believing things I don’t fully understand. I also drive a car, take prescription medication, use my cellphone, the micro-wave oven and the Internet and I don’t fully understand those processes either. I still accept that I can benefit from using them.
After my first encounters with Logosynthesis showed me the incredible power of the right words said with the intention to help me and others make significant changes in our lives, I became a believer. I hope you will at least suspend your skepticism long enough to experiment and see for yourself what actually happens.
The Words Are Important
The specific wording of the sentences and the order in which the sentences are used has been refined over the 10 years since Willem Lammers’ discovery of this process. Groups of professionals have used and discussed the impact of how to use the words and there are continuous new developments—in several different languages. The website Logosynthesis.net has up-to-date information.
When you look at life challenges from an energy viewpoint, this does fit together and seems to work well both as a professional tool and in self-coaching situations.
The Sentence Order Is Deliberate
Sentence one is used to strengthen you by taking back energy that has been unavailable to you for a variety of reasons. Those reasons have usually focused on avoiding reminders of past distress and possible future difficulties instead of living in the present moment. Once you have taken back your own energy you are ready for the next step.
Sentence two lets your Self release the energy you have taken in from other people or objects in your environment. When you are vulnerable, you often accept energy from others. A good example of holding someone else’s energy is when you find yourself saying something one of your parents said to you that you swore never to repeat. After you have reclaimed your own energy by using sentence one you can then use sentence two to remove that energy you no longer need or want to hold onto.
Most of what you describe as problems in your life now are the reactions you experience when you try to avoid thinking about, remembering or re-experiencing the discomfort you tried to protect yourself from in the first place. In other words, the solutions that seemed to make sense in the past become the problems of today.
Once you have used the first two sentences to straighten out your energy around your original protective actions, the third sentence is designed to move the energy from your reactions to that original protection back to where you need it—the right place in your Self.
