I'm curious about the way others engage God.
I wonder if they are bold-- asking for their hearts desire or if the quietly sneak in the back door and "listen in" to what He wants them to do.
I wonder if others have a relationship that is intentional or accidental.
Mine has been both, but I feel that as I grow older, I've also grown bolder and squashed my fear when needing to pray. I don't ask for favors but I have been known to ask for a miracle.
My goal for 2025 is to listen more and talk less so I can head in the right direction... wish me luck.

Reflections of Joy
Take Delight
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you
your heart’s desires.”
Psalm 37:4
Today, I was walking to the beach, planning to look for shells while
waiting for the sun to rise. is has become my routine: wake, write,
walk, watch the sunrise, and chat with God.
If I diagrammed those early morning conversations, I would likely
see that I do a lot of the talking. I often ask for help, especially during
the hard times, and I try to say thank you. Unfortunately, I’ve spent
very little time listening.
We seem to have our best conversations when I’m not distracted
by shells, so I was thankful for a day when the beach was wiped clean
