At the end of the war, when Greece was at its lowest point of devastation and poverty, a band of outlaws inspired by communism established their headquarters in the mountains near dad’s village. They would come into the defenseless villages and ransack the homes, terrifying the people with their appearance that seemingly came out of nowhere. They announced their presence with shouts and bullets without any respect to the elders or children.
