She was back in Neo-Classica, in Egypt, and felt like she had been hit by a bus.
She looked over at Lucas and Nick.
Lucas was pacing in front of the sarcophagus table. “And that example is a prayer to the ka, or soul, as the body transitions to a ba, which is a different form of the soul.”
Only one adult glanced at Arsinoë and made eye contact to ask if she was okay.
She smiled at the visitor and shifted to face the sarcophagus, hands folded in front of her.
“Where is the key?” a disembodied woman’s voice asked.
Arsinoë looked around. Everyone seemed engrossed in the presentation, but she did notice a woman in the audience sticking her hands in her pant pockets and patting her thighs.
She probably lost her keys. Did she speak out loud though?
