Never, never, never … in a million years … never did I think this would happen to me. I grew up watching such television series as Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver, and Perry Mason. In these make-believe worlds, families worked together to solve their problems. Husbands loved and cherished their wives and their perfect children. They lived in an arena where dreams come true, where fairy tales really happened. These shows always said truth outweighed dishonesty. In Perry Mason, the falsely accused always got his or her life back in order the last ten minutes of each episode. This I believed.
