Intrigued and curious with her comments, Alexander asked, “What do you think about the priest?”
“I have seen the way he looks at you. He is not a good man and he frightens me.” Lisa walked over, gave her papa a hug, and left the room.
Alexander rubbed his forehead.
How could she know what I discussed with the priest? She must have been in this room … but where?
Looking around the room, his gaze settled on the tapestry covering the niche. He walked to the tapestry, pulled it back, and found the blankets piled there.
Alexander smiled as he turned back to the letters on his table. My daughter!
