It’s Really Cool … To Be a Tyrannosaurus!
It’s really cool … to be a Tyrannosaurus.
We once ruled the World; King T Rex they called us.
But in today’s world, we’ve been quite misunderstood.
My enormous teeth?―Just to frighten the hood.
I’m really a nice guy. My hero? TV’s Barney.
His advice? Be nice to fans, give ‘em lots of blarney.
I had a starring role in the movie Jurassic Park.
My role―convincing―should have made the Oscar mark.
My agent’s negotiating a big return engagement;
Another starring role is the hoped for arrangement.
Since leaving the Island, I’ve learned Dinos are “in.”
TV, movies, national tours―a great big win.
Remember, King Kong, he just didn’t work out.
Fell in love, then got mad―what a terrible rout.
I, on the other hand, am just a gentle giant.
Whatever is asked, I’m really quite compliant.
My goal is to change the world’s bad impression,
The one I’ve portrayed in a movie scene session.
If I like the script of course, I’ll pitch right in.
Unfortunately, the audience will misinterpret my grin.
I miss my kind, now long gone by nature’s selection.
A lucky accident for me―my genetic resurrection.
I can now show you that our nature’s not the poorest.
It’s really, really cool … to be a Tyrannosaurus.
