The earlier, the better, for your book project. Why? It creates the “face” for what you are doing and a “push” to keep moving forward. You add it to your website; to your signature on all emails that are sent out; share ongoing updates via your social media channels; and you can even create an Amazon.com/Advantage account and put it up for pre-sales.
TIP: Think of your book cover as part of your pre-launch and your pre-marketing. Once you have your cover (even if you tweak it a bit),it becomes a focal point to keep you going.
