“Drinking is not the answer,” Leslie insisted. “Facing the problem and doing something about it is! The last thing you need is to become dependent on booze.”
“I’m okay, I can stop whenever I want. I’ll finish this and won’t drink any more today. Will that make you happy?”
Leslie plopped on the bed to tie her shoes. “What would make me happy is for you to be honest with yourself and take charge of your life. Alcohol will never solve your problems.”
