“It’s Leslie’s turn to get groceries for the apartment,” Robin said.
“Frannie, if I give you the money,” Leslie asked, “can you get the groceries for me today? “Coach Thomas called a meeting about this weekend’s track meet for 3:00 and I have the SNA meeting to plan. If I study with you guys now, there won’t be enough time left for a trip to the grocery store before the coach’s meeting.”
“Again?” Robin asked sourly. “It’s not like Frannie doesn’t need to study. It’s as important for her to pass as it is for you. With all the other things on your plate, you’ve been letting your commitment to us slip. When was the last time you actually took your turn to tidy the apartment or get the groceries. We’ve been picking up the slack for weeks.”
