Lucia, Nic, and Jack tell congruent stories of life in The Nation and in the Dissentient as everything reaches its boiling point and each must decide what they are willing to risk to save the lives of their fellow citizens from the Supreme Sovereign’s rule: Life, Love, or Truth.
I am a young adult sci-fi/fantasy author and children's book author and illustrator. I've been a middle school teacher for 8 years. When I'm not writing, I do yoga, eat gluten-free, and fangirl over Doctor Who.
Lucia Giroux is gifted with metaphysical powers, aka the Light, but that's not the reason why Nicolas Pernelli fell in love with her. The Beacon is the conclusion to The Lucia Chronicles trilogy and offers three perspectives: Lucia, her current love Nic, and her childhood love, Jack.

The Beacon: The Lucia Chronicles Book 3
Lucia twitches in her sleep and I feel the familiar warm tingle starting in my belly and working its way up my chest and toward my heart, where I imagine a golden light swaddling around my heart as it pumps. I recall the startled feeling when Lucia woke up with eyes of gold and how at first it had frightened me, but then it became easy to get lost in the feelings of warmth and love that would emanate out of her. Maybe it’s worse for me because I’m in love with her.
