Kingston looked at the man on the other side of the gun. “You don’t have the balls to shoot me, Colonel.”
Ellison said nothing. A smile slowly came over his face. His eyes told Kingston he had misjudged the marine.
“Is your weapon loaded this time, George?” said Wells hoping to break the tension. “I certainly hope so because I’d hate to shoot the admiral myself if he goes for that weapon in the nightstand.”
Kingston shifted his eyes from the marine to the NCIS agent. When he did, he withdrew his hand slowly. This prompted Ellison to lower his weapon slightly. Two NCIS agents immediately moved in, handcuffing the admiral. Once done, they helped him into a pair of shorts and then pants. When they went to move him out of the compartment, he shoved one of the agents with his shoulder, knocking him onto the bed. Kingston turned, finding himself face to face with Ellison. The marine gently kicked the prisoner’s feet out from under him, causing him to fall to the deck. Kingston was brought to his feet by the NCIS agents and restrained.
