Entangled in a dangerous web, she does everything she can to free herself and the little man they created. What happens when love takes a wrong turn and turns wicked?
Katherine Bell is a beautiful and intelligent woman whose dreams were simple. A family, true love and a perfect Christmas were all she ever wanted. She spent so many years with the man she thought she loved, then one day he changed.
Now, her life is in danger, and all she can think about is protecting her son from him. It's a situation she never imagined and the battle she never saw coming.
She is a fierce woman, and she is ready for anything, but who is protecting her heart?
Katherine sees Michael as just another threat, but he is the one who will save her from herself. Without him, their lives would never be the same, and with him, she finds a love every woman desire and the perfect Christmas.
Katie was always grateful but at this moment she was never so thankful for her best friend.
We can't always chose our situations and don't always see things coming our way. Sometimes secrets and lies are hidden in the past, and though you were were unaware of them they exist solely to you.
Tears of a Cowgirl
Katie glanced over at her and whispered so Eddie couldn’t hear her, “I wish it were that easy. He’s gonna kill me, he warned me about leaving. As soon as he finds that ankle monitor on the bathroom counter, he’ll know I’m gone, and he will hunt me down like he said and kill me.” An expression of concern came over Charlie's face while her eyes filled with terror, “You hear me now Katherine Bell, that man will not get to you without stepping over my dead body.” Katie watched as anger fill her best friends’ eyes, “I’m sorry I dragged you into this, but I didn’t know where else to go. I’ll be stronger in a few days once I get over the shock and prepare myself, I promise. There will be no one stepping over anyone’s dead body. I just need to breathe for a bit somewhere I know Eddie is safe and think this all through.” Charlie nodded, she understood totally but still couldn’t help to be concern over the whole situation. The three of them sat quietly as Charlie drove through the mountains and headed home.
