If you found a stone whose magic could change your life, how would you use its power?
Michelangelo did his best work in Rome. Some people believe in a magical stone he found on his journey from Florence to Rome, a stone that was said to have the power to release his inner imagination. He returned the stone to the same place he had discovered it, a place steeped in mystery and magic, before returning to Florence.
At the brink of despair, Tom Parker recalls Michelangelo's tale and stumbles upon a stone of similar legend. He yearns to harness its power to resurrect his failing business and win the love of his life. But just as he is about to deliver the speech that could turn his advertising company's fate, the stone is snatched away, and Tom's mind goes blank, forgetting the best presentation he had ever conceived. Will he recover the stone? Will he salvage his business and win the girl?

Before he started writing science fiction, Drew received his bachelor’s degree in Bio-Ag Sciences from Colorado State University. After that, just to shake things up, he never really used that degree but worked various jobs in retail and Asset Protection with some really important people who are way too dignified to be named here. He’s still working but would eventually like to write full-time and stop working for other people. He likes pie and chocolate, as everyone should.

At the very beginning of my book, "The Imagination Stone," we catch a glimpse of what this magical stone looks like. It's fabled that Michelangelo found this stone before going into Rome to create his most incredible works. In this scene, we see through his eyes, what the stone looks like and how it draws him in, calling to him, and promising to help him reach greatness. Later on, this same stone will influence others to reach that same level. But for now, I hope you'll allow it to draw you into its world in this short excerpt. Please enjoy!

The Imagination Stone
As he stood, eyes closed and water lapping at his feet, a small, hard object brushed against his foot. He opened his eyes and looked down. A stone, the shape of a small egg, half floated, and half rolled in the ebb and flow of the water. He stooped to pick it up, looking at it with marvel and wonder. “Never have I seen a stone like you,” he said to the stone. It was translucent and filled with swirls of color that flowed slowly around the inside of the strange stone.
