Author Biography

Drew Bankston lives in the Rocky Mountains with his wife, two amazingly perfect dogs, and a garden.

Before he started writing science fiction, Drew received his bachelor’s degree in Bio-Ag Sciences from Colorado State University. After that, just to shake things up, he never really used that degree but worked various jobs in retail and Asset Protection with some really important people who are way too dignified to be named here. He’s still working but would eventually like to write full-time and stop working for other people. He likes pie and chocolate, as everyone should.

What's Important?

We all have different ideas of what is and isn't important in our lives. As we age, as we grow, and as we mature, portions of our lives become far more important than others. Getting married, raising a family, taking on new responsibilities creates more urgency in everything around us. As children, we might consider toys, possessions, food, the love of family, to be the most important things in our lives. In this case, Doni has yet another idea of what should be important. The Imagination Stone

“But, one day they had a great idea! They tried to imagine what the perfect king would be like for their land.”
“He would need to be big!” Doni said.
“I believe they thought that very same thing! But then the king that came by was really, really big! As big as a giant! They liked that he was so big, but the problem was that he couldn’t fit into the castle. So, they thought about a king that was a little bit smaller and very kind, and he was just right!”
“Did he have a good imagination?” Doni asked.
