Author Biography

Drew Bankston lives in the Rocky Mountains with his wife, two amazingly perfect dogs, and a garden.

Before he started writing science fiction, Drew received his bachelor’s degree in Bio-Ag Sciences from Colorado State University. After that, just to shake things up, he never really used that degree but worked various jobs in retail and Asset Protection with some really important people who are way too dignified to be named here. He’s still working but would eventually like to write full-time and stop working for other people. He likes pie and chocolate, as everyone should.

Tell The Boy!

We've all been through it. There's something we have to do, someone we need to tell something to, and we just can't bring ourselves to do it. We know deep inside that telling will bring us the answer we so desperately need but because we're afraid of rejection we choose to not say anything. In this short excerpt, Julie and her friend, Sam, are finishing up a night at the pizza place, when Sam tells Julie exactly what needs to be said and done. Will Julie take her advice? Sam stopped walking and let the girls get a little ahead. “You really like Tom, right?” she asked Julie.
“Yeah. Yeah I do,” Julie said with a slight smile and blush on her face.
“Then regardless of what happens, you need to let him know. If it’s meant to be, then things will work out. If it’s not meant to be, then you’ll know it, but at least you won’t sit around wondering for the rest of your life,” Sam said, hoping that Julie would hear her concern.
