“I want to know more about the murder, yes, but I want to know if there is anything that you can do to convince me that your ability is real. In other words, you’re about to tell me about a murder. That’s a very serious crime and will take a lot of convincing and me pulling in a lot of favors to investigate this quickly. So, is there something that you can provide me with to know that your ability is real? It’s not that I’m doubting you, I just need something to pass along to say that I’ve seen this work. Do you have anything?”
Jessi thought but felt sudden defeat. She had no idea what she could come up with. She had never thought of documenting what she heard. She searched and she thought, and then it hit her. She stood up and reached into the front pocket of her jeans and fished out a few wrinkled pieces of paper. “What time is it?”
