Jessi thought and thought and finally it hit her. “I’m so sorry. I do remember now. Yes, breakfast. Let me get changed really quick. I’m so sorry. I’ll be out in a minute.” And with that, she ran down the hallway. No sooner had she reached her bedroom door than another loud crash came from the front room. “Jim, are you trying to destroy my house?” she yelled as she walked back down the hallway. When she arrived at the front room she saw Jim lying on his back, on the floor and the front door open again. She ran over to Jim to see if he was okay.
“Jim! What happened?” Jessi helped Jim stand up. He rubbed the back of his head and looked around walking over to shut the front door.
“I’m fine,” he said, arching his back. “Someone ran out from behind the kitchen counter over there, hit me in the face, knocked me down and ran out the door. I couldn’t see who it was, though. It all happened pretty quick and took me by surprise. I hit my head on the floor. I don’t think that I’m hurt.”
