“Okay Erin,” Jessi said, “I’ll keep you updated on where we are too. And don’t worry. I’m sure he’s fine.”
“I hope so,” Erin said. “Talk to you later.”
Jessi hung up her phone and shook her head.
“What’s up?” Jim asked.
“Erin’s been trying to find Barry,” Jessi explained. “He said that he was working late last night, but when Erin got over to his place this morning, he wasn’t home. Then she checked at his work and he wasn’t there, either. She’s tried his cell, but it’s turned off.”
“Nice summary.” Jim whistled. “Maybe he fell asleep somewhere. Like in the bus station or in a taxi. He might be riding around in this city somewhere racking up the miles!”
