Jim reached around and touched under his nose. He looked at his fingers and saw the blood. “I need to sit down,” he said. “I don’t do well with blood, especially if it’s my own.”
Jessi helped him to a large chair and then grabbed a box of tissues from the kitchen. She grabbed a plastic grocery store bag and brought it to him. You can put the tissues in here.
“Thank you, Jess,” he said, grabbing a tissue and holding it on his nose.
“Here,” Jessi said grabbing another tissue. “Put this in your nostril.” She rolled up the tissue and handed it to Jim, who stuffed it in the bleeding hole. “Now, tip your head back slightly. It will help. I’ve had plenty of bloody noses.”
“Thank you,” Jim said. “I can’t believe that guy. I don’t even know if it was a guy. Just someone who knocked me down and took off running.”
