“Well if it isn’t the dynamic duo!” Another of Jessi’s friends, Erin Smith bounced up to the two girls. “Are we discussing boys, sports, fashion or school?”
“None of the above, Erin my dear,” Jessi said. “We’re actually discussing fathers.”
“Ah, I see. I have no comment. My dad wants us to move to New Zealand so I’m not even sure what to think at this point.” She shook her head. “New Zealand! Who moves from Colorado to New Zealand? I certainly hope not me. So, let’s start over.” Erin turned around and walked a few steps away, then turned back, spread her arms and said, “Jessi!”
“Erin!” Jessi said happily and walked into the other girl’s arms enjoying the enveloping hug. She took a step back and whistled. “Wow, look at you all fancy in your black Gi and new black belt. Going to work out with me at the demo? You haven’t picked a sparring partner yet, have you?”
