Author Biography

Drew Bankston lives in the Rocky Mountains with his wife, two amazingly perfect dogs, and a garden.

Before he started writing science fiction, Drew received his bachelor’s degree in Bio-Ag Sciences from Colorado State University. After that, just to shake things up, he never really used that degree but worked various jobs in retail and Asset Protection with some really important people who are way too dignified to be named here. He’s still working but would eventually like to write full-time and stop working for other people. He likes pie and chocolate, as everyone should.

Hold On

This is Andrew's signature phrase. In this short excerpt, Andrew has invited his friend, Matt, to goo for a ride in his POD. This device is something Andrew invented and he's hoping to take an instantaneous jaunt to France. Matt has never gone anywhere inside, so he's a little nervous as you'll see. The entire POD began to hum. “Are you ready?” Andrew asked Matt excitedly.
“Yeah,” Matt said, starting to feel somewhat nervous. “I guess.”
“Then,” Andrew grinned wider than Matt had ever seen, “hold on!”
With that, Matt held on to the seat as tightly as possible. He closed his eyes and wished for a moment that he hadn’t agreed to do this. He felt light-headed for a second, and then there was nothing.
