Andrew tinkers in his garage each weekend, buying strange-looking devices from a local college surplus store and working on things he only minimally understands. It’s this lack of understanding, however, that allows Andrew to discover things no one else could imagine.

Mistakes and accidents lead Andrew to places he never thought he could go, taking his friends on perilous journeys and finding world changes in other dimensions he could never imagine would be real!

Author Biography

Drew Bankston lives in the Rocky Mountains with his wife, two amazingly perfect dogs, and a garden.

Before he started writing science fiction, Drew received his bachelor’s degree in Bio-Ag Sciences from Colorado State University. After that, just to shake things up, he never really used that degree but worked various jobs in retail and Asset Protection with some really important people who are way too dignified to be named here. He’s still working but would eventually like to write full-time and stop working for other people. He likes pie and chocolate, as everyone should.

Surprise

Unless it's a party, most of us never have the opportunity to be surprised by a room full of people who consider you to be the guest of honor! But poor Andrew has stumbled into that very situation! Every weekend he tinkers in his garage, trying to discover cool things. On this particular day he was successful even though it wasn't exactly what he had hoped for. “Andrew! Over here!” he shouted. Then he turned to the people at the table with him and said, “This is him! This is the guy I was telling you about!” Everyone stood up and began to applaud.
Andrew was as confused as he had ever been. He was stunned and couldn’t move. Finally, Matt got up from the table amidst the cheering and clapping. He helped his friend up and escorted Andrew back to his table.
Matt pulled out a chair for Andrew and, placing his hands on Andrew’s shoulders, gently pushed him down into the seat!
