“I thought you’d be intrigued,” Gordek said. He placed a hand on her shoulder—not a comradely clap or friendly pat. His hand lingered, soft and menacing.
Linsora pushed him away. “Do not test my emotions! Do not ever send me emotions. Do not ever advise me how to do my work.” She faced Gordek, jabbing a clawed fingertip into his chest. “You are never to touch me again. You are to stay away from my mind. You are to stay away from me entirely.”
