“No,” Linsora said quietly. “It was a different time, 200 years ago.”
The pair continued to look at each other, speechless. It seemed they would be getting more insight into their History than they ever suspected or dared hope they would.
“On Khizara,” Tokor went on, “we gathered into isolated colonies, devoting our energies to scientific investigation. Regretfully, not all of my followers were patient. Given time, my goal of Khizaran unity would have been realized. Some of my associates attempted to take control of Khizara by force. Understandably, our brothers then wished to be rid of us entirely. Let me just say that we arranged to leave Khizara . . . but Khizaran ships followed to destroy us.”
