“Do you need help?” The man spoke loudly to be heard over the wind. “I saw the lights from your vehicle, and when the lightning hit the tree.”
“Yes,” Linsora yelled. “My friend is stuck under the tree.”
The two ran to the driver’s side of the car and pulled on the large piece of the tree together. The young man climbed under the tree and lifted with his back, and the tree started to move. Linsora pulled on a limb toward the front of the vehicle, and the tree slid to the ground. Bhreagh screamed.
Linsora ran to Bhreagh, who smiled weakly. “Are you okay?” Linsora shouted. “Can you walk?”
Bhreagh looked down at her leg. A large piece of tree branch stuck out from her thigh. “I think I might be hurt,” she said.
