“Yokosh Khol, is your brother? Well, well. Karak failed to mention that. What else did my former ally forget to tell me?” Gordek slipped from the desk and circled Linsora and the guards. “What phantoms are in your mind, Linsora? Amazing the names people give to fear. You’ll have to tell me more about your past and those who tormented you on Khizara someday.”
He allowed the fear he sent to Linsora to intensify, watching as she cringed from whatever occupied her psyche, then ended it.
Linsora slumped between the guards and felt like her body had been beaten. Every muscle she had held tense now hurt. She stood of her own accord and fixed an expressionless stare on Gordek.
“I’ll tell you while I’m watching you die.”
