A crease was between his furrowed brows as he watched that strange man—Mr. Moragh—as he walked toward the exit and stopped briefly at Permac’s side to whisper something.
What the hell could they possibly be saying to each other?
Permac’s eyes grew wide and his mouth opened. Mr. Moragh left, disappearing into a throng of people.
“Sudé! Permac!” An officer on the gangplank read Permac’s name off a list and called for him a second time, looking around. Only then did he seem to snap out of his trance.
