Yokosh spoke through clenched teeth. “Gordek,” he said, “if you do not release me, I guarantee that others who have far more power than I will hunt you down, and the only thing you’ll be leading is the way to hell for the rest of your followers!”
Gordek looked mildly annoyed. “I may be many things, but I am not a liar. We have a deal, Yokosh, and I don’t intend to break it. However, I reserve the right to modify it.”
Yokosh dropped entirely to the ground, breathing heavily, and looked up at Gordek. “I will make you suffer for that.” He stood and tried to salvage what little dignity he had left.
