It's important to me to get my stories to the public in memory of my parents and now my mother-in-law. They loved my stories and I believe that you will too! Here's information about me: Drew has been writing all of his life, or at least from the time he knew what words and stories could do. In second grade he was writing audio plays and now, many...many years later, he's still writing. He's written the Tokorel sci-fi series, which has received numerous accolades, great reviews and awards, and numerous other books both fantastic and original. He loves sci-fi and fantasy but he also writes non-fiction as well. He lives in Fort Collins, Colorado with his wonderful family and runs a video production company to pay the bills, in addition to working for the city Parks Department. He loves people, so feel free to Email him anytime if you have questions about his books or want to chat. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Imagine that you're sound asleep. You're woken by the sound of someone whispering in your ear and the sensation of a knife being pressed against your throat. You're told to not move, but only listen as your assailant continues to vent and spew their anger at you. What would be going through your head? Would you try to escape or hope, just hope, that the assailant would spare your life. Please enjoy this short excerpt from our sci-fi original work, "The Eyes of Tokorel" being re-released later this year.
The Eyes of Tokorel: The Color of Emotion
The blade of the knife was no longer cold. The heat of his body had warmed it. Still, he felt a chill as it shifted again, not tighter but he was sure he felt it turn so that the edge would slice his flesh if either of them hiccuped. He hoped his racing pulse wouldn’t make some critical artery expand into the blade. He hoped his shallow breathing wouldn’t make him pass out and fall forward onto it. He hoped he hadn’t been as stupid as he felt right now.
