Be the sunshine on the cloudy day. Be the smile in the elevator. Be sincere in a world of insincerity. How do you know tomorrow will be better? Plant flowers today.
Somewhere along the way I captured the idea that I am responsible for being that which I think is needed. I need motivation. Be the motivation. I need a hug, be the hug. And so on. And yet, we’re in this thing together. So I looked to the left and found my motivation.
It started with the man on the treadmill next to me at the gym in Lake City. I don’t know him. But he embodies motivation, determination and pace, and the fact that we get to choose our dispositions.
The world craps on us, often. Some weeks, it feels like we’re crapped on each hour of every day. There is always something seeking to steal our joy. Well from hence forth, the world can’t have my joy and it can keep its crap!
