He consciously thought about how he was most probably suffering from some kind of Stockholm’s syndrome, because he knew that Haseeya was using and controlling him, had no love for him, but he didn’t seem to care. He almost liked being under her control by this time, as he’d hardly known any other way of life. He knew it was a pathetic and miserable way to exist, and it hardly made him a man, but he had no true will of his own anymore. He only managed to come up with a small bit of bravado with Maggie and Trix, but he reckoned that this wasn’t really him, so he may as well accept being Haseeya’s puppet, as this was the life he knew and was comfortable with.
He rushed to get to her, only to spot the tribesmen approaching the house as the police knocked down his door. They searched all around the home, finding one incriminating piece of evidence after another, while some began to dig where Maggie had given them instructions. It didn’t take long for them to see bits of Eddie’s skinned fingers poking up from the ground. The officer in charge looked on with horror as the skinned body was exhumed.
